History
The Traeger family completed their first industrial sale in 1924, shipping used tractor parts to Cuba on empty banana boats. After the Cuban revolution the name was changed from the Cuban American Export Company to Traeger Brothers. In 1986 the three original brothers had retired and their sons and nephews carried on the family tradition.

Since 1986 Traeger Brothers has evolved from a Miami purchasing agent and export house to a full line stocking industrial distributor. With three warehouses and several million dollars worth of inventory, Traeger Brothers is positioned to supply the telecom and data needs of the Caribbean Basin like no other company.

Organization
Traeger Brothers operates five divisions, each specializing in a different industry. The Telecom team provides technology based products to telephone utilities and other information/technology clients. Our Industrial team focuses on PVF materials. The Power and Water team works with the power and water utilities on many of the Caribbean islands. Traeger also hosts two construction teams; the heavy division supports their customer’s material needs in building bridges, dams, tunnels and the like, while the light construction division works with contractors building condominium projects, hospitals, airports and other housing or commercial developments.
